Thank you! I always encourage prospective students and their families to look beyond rankings to their "match" with a school's mission, values, and campus culture. Those things can be evaluated through visits and conversations with current students, faculty, and alumni. I have been affiliated with a number of different institutions (large public, Ivy, small private) and I am most impressed by the transformative influence that Whittier College - with its diversity, small classes, multitude of leadership opportunities, and extremely dedicated faculty - has on students. I wish more people would consider it, rather than just looking for a "name brand" education. This is a great post. Thank you!
